Roy Buchanan is originally from the Black Hills of South Dakota. He moved to Gillette, Wyoming in 2010 and is now happy to call it his home. It is here in Gillette that he met his beautiful wife, Theresa Buchanan. Depending on the season, they both enjoy hiking, backpacking, and snowshoeing together. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and a Master of Science degree in Kinesiology, Roy is quite passionate about exercise-related practices and self-improvement. At Employment Testing Center of Wyoming, the aim of these practices is well-directed toward health and occupational outcomes. Roy also operates Strength Training of Wyoming, where he works with junior high and high school athletes as well as provides personal training services for adult clients with a variety of goals.
Certifications/Competencies:
Certified Exercise Physiologist via the American College of Sports Medicine. WorkWell certified in Functional Job Analysis, Functional Job Descriptions, and Pre-Employment Screening processes. DOT and Non-DOT drug testing certified including urinalysis, hair, saliva, and breath alcohol. Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist via the Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation. NIOSH-Certified Spirometry Technologist. Roy also conducts vision exams, electrocardiograms, and oversees random drug testing programs.
